Straight answers.
Do I have to buy the printed tag?
No. Design it, choose “I'll print my own”, and your account is free. Download the print file from your dashboard and print it wherever you like, or have it made whenever you're ready (free delivery in Dubai and the UK).
Where do you deliver printed tags?
You can buy a printed tag online in the UAE (free delivery in Dubai), the UK and Ireland, with delivery included. Anywhere else, contact us before you buy one; or print your own for free. Printing your own works anywhere.
What's free, and what's in Pro?
Free gets you your custom tag design, a page in your own colours, your socials and links, every gig and residency, and a booking enquiry form, for one act. Pro adds song requests, tips, invoices for bookings, story posters without the GigTag mark, more than one act (say, your solo act and your band) and switching which act your tag opens. Monthly or yearly, and you can change plan any time.
Do fans need an app or an account?
No. They point their phone camera at the tag and open the link. Requesting a song, tipping and adding a gig to their calendar all work in the browser without signing up.
How do tips work?
Connect your own account from your Tips page: Ziina if you're in the UAE (all it takes is an Emirates ID), Stripe anywhere else. Fans tip by card or Apple Pay, with a song request or with the tip button, and every tip goes straight into your account. GigTag takes nothing. You choose whether requests come with an optional tip. In the UAE, signing up to Ziina through GigTag gets you extra benefits on a Ziina Business account; you'll see them when you switch tips on.
I'm not in the UAE. Can I still take tips?
Yes. Connect your own Stripe account from your Tips page (you can open one as you connect) and tips go straight into it, in your own currency. GigTag takes nothing. Your page, QR codes, gigs, residencies, bookings and song requests work the same in every country.
We're a band. How does that work?
Bands are on Pro: add the band as a second act next to your solo act. Then every member creates their own GigTag account and joins the band, so the whole line-up shows on the band page. The owner looks after the page and the payout details; nobody shares a password.
What happens to the tag after the gig?
It keeps working. Outside a set, the same page shows your next gig and your residencies, your music and social links, and your booking enquiry form.
What if I change my stage name?
The printed code never changes. Rename the act, change your link name, and old links redirect to the same page.
