GigTag for saxophonists and instrumentalists with djs
Two acts on one stage, and one code for the whole room.
A saxophonist over a DJ set is a package: the DJ plays, the player lifts the room, and the venue books both. A GigTag lets the pair share one tag on the booth, with a page for each act, and tip and enquiry links that suit how you work together.

The problem
Two names, one set, and a venue with one phone number
A sax player and a DJ may have played every Saturday for two summers, but to the outside world they are two profiles, two bios and two sets of links. A guest who loved the horn on the last track has to guess whether to follow the DJ, the player or the club.
The booking is the same story. A beach club wants the pair, and the message goes to one of you, who has to pass it on. Tips are the same: the guest who wants to say thank you does not know who to say it to.
What GigTag does
One code, four jobs done for you
- Pro
A page for each act, one tag for both
The player has a page and the DJ has a page, and both can list the other. Add both as acts and switch which one the tag opens before you leave.
- Pro
Tips for the pair
A guest scans and tips by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Tips go to the Ziina or Stripe account connected to the act the tag opens, and GigTag takes 0%. How the pair splits is up to you.
- Pro
Requests the DJ reads, not the player
Open the queue on the DJ's phone, so the player stays free to play. Use your song list or open requests, and close the queue when you want a fully improvised hour.
- Free
Residencies and one enquiry form
List the weekly nights you do together as a residency so fans can add them to a calendar. The enquiry form takes the date, the venue and the occasion for the next package booking.
A night with GigTag
Saturday at a beach club
The tag stands on the DJ booth, a small sign beside it: scan to follow, tip and request. At sunset the sax comes in over a deep house track and a table films it. Two of them scan, one tips the pair and one asks for the date of the next Saturday.
The next day the club's events manager sends an enquiry for a private evening in November, asking for the DJ and the sax together. It reaches the one page and the pair talks it through, not through two separate DMs. A regular night at a venue is covered in weekly club nights.
Set up
Ready before your next gig
- 1
Each of you publishes your own page, and each links to the other as your regular partner.
- 2
Decide which act the tag opens by default, and which of you reads the queue.
- 3
Agree how tips are shared and connect the Ziina or Stripe account that receives them.
- 4
List your residencies and put the tag on the booth, not on the player's stand.
Free: your page, links, gigs and residencies, and a booking form. Pro adds song requests, tips, invoices and more than one act. Tips go straight into your own Ziina or Stripe account, and GigTag takes 0%.
Questions
GigTag for saxophonists and instrumentalists with djs: your questions
Does this work for violin, percussion or other instruments?
Yes. It suits any live instrumentalist who plays over a DJ's set, such as a saxophonist, violinist, percussionist or trumpeter.
Is the tip split between us automatically?
No. Each tip goes to a single Ziina or Stripe account, and you share it between yourselves as you agree.
Can venues book us as a package through GigTag?
They send an enquiry through your page. GigTag is not a marketplace and does not find clients for you or put you in front of venues.
Does it connect to the DJ's software?
No. It is a page and a request queue on a phone, so it works with whatever the DJ plays on.
