GigTag

GigTag for weekly club nights and residents

A night that happens every week deserves a page that does too.

A weekly night is built on regulars: the same faces, the same line-up, the same room. A GigTag gives the night its own page, with the residents, the dates and one form for bookings and table enquiries, so the crowd can follow the night as well as the DJ.

  • A page for the night
  • The line-up and the next date
  • Enquiries in one form

The problem

The night has a name, but the DJs have the followers

Most weekly nights live in three places: a promoter's Instagram, a venue's flyer and the residents' own pages. A guest who loved Friday cannot tell if the same line-up is on next week, and the promoter has to post it again every Monday.

Guest DJs, new residents and special editions come and go. The promoter wants one stable page that always says what the night is and when it is on, whoever is on the decks.

What GigTag does

One code, four jobs done for you

  1. Free

    A page for the night

Give the night its own act with its own name, look and bio. The page is the night, not any one DJ, so it stays the same when the line-up changes. It is free.

  2. Free

    Every date as a residency

List the weekly night as a residency, with the time and the venue. A guest can add it to their calendar before they leave, and the next date is always the first thing they see.

  3. Pro

    One tag, several acts

A resident with their own act and the night as a second act can switch which one the tag opens. Resident DJs and a visiting sax player can each have a page that links to the night.

  4. Pro

    Requests and an enquiry form

The booth can run a request queue, with tips, on the resident's phone. The form takes private-hire and table enquiries with the date and the group size, for whoever runs the night.

A night with GigTag

Every Thursday, from ten

The tag stands by the door and on the booth. On the booth the queue is open for the first hour, closed for the headline slot, and open again at the end. A birthday table sends a request with a tip, which the resident reads between records.

At the door a guest scans the tag and adds next Thursday to her calendar. A week later someone from a company enquires about hiring the room for an after-party. The promoter reads the details in one message and replies the same day. A rooftop version of the same set-up is covered in beach clubs and rooftops.

Set up

Ready before your next gig

  1. 1

Create the night as an act, with its own name, logo and short bio.

  2. 2

Add the weekly night as a residency with the venue and the time.

  3. 3

Link each resident's own page from the night's page, and link back.

Questions

GigTag for weekly club nights and residents: your questions

Can I list a different line-up each week?

Yes. Update the bio or add each date as a gig with its own line-up, while the weekly residency stays as the constant.

Does GigTag sell tickets or run the door?

No. It does not sell tickets or manage guest lists. The page can link to your ticketing and your venue.

Can several DJs share the tag?

A resident can switch between acts on Pro, and each DJ can have their own page. Requests land on the phone of the person running the booth.

Does it find new guests for the night?

No. It helps the people who already come back find the next date and follow the night.
