GigTag for beach club and rooftop acts
The best crowd of your week flies home on Sunday.
Beach clubs, rooftop lounges and pool parties fill with people who are on holiday and in a good mood. A GigTag on the booth or the stand lets them ask for a song, tip and find your next set before the sun has gone down.
- Requests from a sunbed
- Tips without cash
- Your next sunset set, one tap
The problem
A full terrace of people you will never meet
Half the guests are tourists. They loved the set, they would happily tip, and they have no idea your name or that you play here every Thursday. Walking up to a booth with a drink in one hand and a phone in the other is more effort than most will make.
A DJ working a beach club or a singer on a rooftop wants the same thing: let the crowd ask and say thank you from where they are sitting, and leave them a way back next time they are in town.
What GigTag does
One code, four jobs done for you
- Pro
Requests from the sunbed
A guest scans, types a title and sends it. You see the queue on your phone and play what suits the moment. A request is only a suggestion, and the Open and Closed switch stops them at the peak of the sunset.
- Pro
A tip with a thank you
Tourists often carry only a phone and a card. They can tip you by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay straight to your own Ziina or Stripe account. GigTag takes nothing.
- Free
Your week on one page
Add each club and rooftop as a weekly residency. A guest from a different hotel can put your Thursday into their calendar, or see where you play next.
- Free
Enquiries from the next venue
Other venue managers and private hosts are often in the crowd. The booking enquiry form is there when they decide they want you at their place.
A night with GigTag
A Thursday on a rooftop at sunset
The tag stands next to the decks, in the club's colours. As the light drops, a table of friends scans, sends a title and adds your Thursday residency to their calendar. A couple at the bar tips without leaving their stools.
Later, a hotel's events manager who stayed for the whole set fills in the enquiry form for a private pool party. It arrives with the date and guest numbers. When you play a saxophonist-and-DJ set or a weekly club night the same page works for the other act too.

Questions
GigTag for beach club and rooftop acts: your questions
Will guests have the signal to open it?
Fans need a phone connection, and most beach clubs and rooftops have a strong one. A venue with weak coverage may need guests to use its Wi-Fi, so check before you rely on it.
Will the venue mind the tag?
It is a small tag on the stand. Ask first, and match its colours if you like. Requests and tips can each be switched off.
Can I stop requests during a big moment?
Yes. The Open and Closed switch is on your phone, and you can flip it whenever you like. Requests are only ever suggestions you can decline.
Does GigTag find me new clubs to play?
No. It is not a marketplace and does not place acts. It makes you easy to follow, tip and book for the people who already saw you.
