GigTag for trios
Three players, three phones, one page for the audience.
A trio is small enough to travel in one car and big enough that nobody is free to work the room. A GigTag on the stand gives the audience one place to request, tip and find the next gig, and puts all three of you on one band page.
- One page for all three of you
- Requests without breaking the groove
- Tips shared the way you agree
The problem
Nobody is the front of house
In a duo or a big band someone usually ends up as the talker. In a trio, the bass player is counting, the drummer is listening and the singer is mid-line. When a table wants a song or asks who you are, the question hangs in the air until the break.
After the break it is gone. The people who wanted to tip, follow or book a private evening drift out, and you find out about the missed enquiry from a friend of a friend.
What GigTag does
One code, four jobs done for you
- Pro
A band page with all three of you
Add a band act and each of you joins with your own free account, with your own photo and links. The audience sees a trio, not one name with two sidemen.
- Pro
A queue for the end of the tune
Guests send a title from their table. One of you glances at the phone between numbers, picks what fits the room and ignores the rest. Switch to your own song list for a jazz room that wants standards only.
- Pro
Tips straight to your account
A scan opens a tip page and the money goes to the Ziina or Stripe account you connect. GigTag takes 0%, and what you do with it between three is your business.
- Free
Every residency and a booking form
List the Wednesday hotel lobby and the monthly supper club as residencies, so people can add them to a calendar. The enquiry form takes the date, place and details for anyone who wants you for a private evening.
A night with GigTag
A Wednesday in a hotel lobby
The tag stands on the piano, with a small card beside it. Halfway through the first set a guest scans, sends a request for a bossa nova and adds a tip. The pianist sees it at the end of the tune and counts it in.
By the second set two people have added next Wednesday to their calendars. One of them is planning a corporate evening and uses the enquiry form before reaching the lift.

Questions
GigTag for trios: your questions
Does each of us need an account?
Yes, each member joins the band act with their own free account. Nobody shares a login, and the band act itself is a Pro feature.
Can we hide requests during a quiet set?
Yes. Requests have an Open and Closed switch, so you can close them for a ballad set and open them again after.
Does GigTag split the tips between three?
No. Tips go to the single Ziina or Stripe account connected to the act. How you share them is up to you.
Will GigTag get us more gigs?
It does not find clients. It makes it easy for people who already like you to follow, tip and send an enquiry. For a bigger line-up see function and big bands.
