GigTag for big bands and function bands
Eight players on stage and one place for the guests to look.
A function band is a small company. Someone answers the enquiries, someone writes the set list, someone drives the van. A GigTag gives the whole line-up one page, one enquiry form and one request queue, so the work stops landing in the bandleader's phone.
- Every member on the band page
- Enquiry form and invoices
- Requests read by one person
The problem
A line-up that nobody can describe in a message
A client asks who is in the band and whether it is the eight-piece or the six-piece with horns. The bandleader answers from memory, forwards a video from last year and hopes the line-up matches. Half the photos on the page show someone who left in March.
On the night it is no easier. A big room means requests passed up the front, notes handed to the sax section and a dancing guest asking the trumpeter, who has sixteen bars of rest and no idea what is on the list.
What GigTag does
One code, four jobs done for you
- Pro
A page that shows the real line-up
Every member joins the band act with their own free account, with their own photo and links. When the horn section changes, the page changes with it.
- Pro
A queue one person reads
Guests send suggestions to a queue on the phone of whoever you choose, usually the bandleader or the singer. Players do not get asked mid-solo, and the list stays your list.
- Pro
Invoices for deposits and balances
Send the client an invoice in your own design and they pay it online into your connected Ziina or Stripe account. GigTag takes 0%.
- Free
An enquiry form with the full brief
The form asks for the date, the venue and the occasion, so the first message already has what you need to quote. Add every regular booking as a gig so people can see where to hear you.
A night with GigTag
A hotel ballroom, 200 guests
The tag stands by the stage with a small sign that reads scan to request or tip. Your song list is the evening's list, so a guest can only ask for what the band has rehearsed. By nine the queue shows twelve titles and the bandleader has marked three.
At the end of the night an events planner at table six asks who runs the band. She scans, reads the page and sends an enquiry for a corporate event in the spring before she collects her coat.

Questions
GigTag for big bands and function bands: your questions
How many members can be on the page?
The band act lists the whole line-up. Each member makes their own free account and joins, so everyone who plays with you shows on the page.
What about deps who only play now and then?
They can have their own page too, see session and hired musicians, and you can link to it from the band page.
Can guests tip the band as a whole?
Yes. Tips go to the single Ziina or Stripe account connected to the act. GigTag takes 0%, and how it is shared is up to you.
Is it right for weddings as well as corporate nights?
Yes. The same page works for both. The setup for a wedding evening is covered in wedding bands.
