GigTag

GigTag for music schools and showcases

The recital was lovely. The parents want to hear it again.

Students perform at recitals and showcases, and then it is over. A GigTag gives each performer a free page with a clip, and lets the school list the showcase as a one-off or a regular night that families can find and add to a calendar.

  • A free page per student
  • Showcase night listed
  • Families follow along

The problem

A proud recital and nothing to share

A young guitarist plays her first piece in front of a hall, the way a student singer-songwriter might one day play her own. Her grandmother in another city could not come, and the only clip is shaky and sits on one parent's phone.

For the school, a showcase is a good chance to be seen, but the date is in a newsletter that people read once. A page with the date in a clear place does more.

What GigTag does

One code, four jobs done for you

  1. Free

A free page for each performer

A photo, a clip and links. A student or a parent can make it in a few minutes, and it is a start for an older student who wants to perform.

  2. Free

    The showcase as a gig

List the recital or the showcase night as a one-off or a weekly or monthly evening. Families add it to a calendar and share it.

  3. Free

    A tag on the stage

A tag on the stand lets the audience follow a performer after the piece. Older students can start to build an audience.

  4. Pro

Tips and invoices, for working performers

Advanced and professional students can take tips by card or Apple Pay, and invoice for gigs they book. These are on Pro, and each performer holds their own account.

A night with GigTag

A summer showcase

The school lists the showcase on its teacher's page (the same way an open mic lists its night), and each performer has a page with a clip from rehearsal. Families scan the tag on the stage between pieces.

A teenage pianist's page now has the clip and the date of her next performance. An aunt abroad watches it that evening.
